Looks really nice, I think the eyes need a little bit of work, they seem a bit lifeless. Otherwise this is great work, and it's nice to see that you have been making changes and constantly improving it :)

Very nice, I like how the figure sort of looms out of the dark, it makes it very dramatic. :)

yay, looks nice!
You should try to add a little more dark shadows in his face and around his mouth ^^
The neck looks good!

A very sweet face. But it still needs more shading. Also under the nose and under the lips. Try it and you will see the portrait will get more natural.

I recommend more shading. You can never have too much shading on a painting. The shape of his face is perfect, as is his nose. The lips would look a bit more like they belonged on his face if there were shadows around his mouth. Really, the only thing that you need here is shading, and maybe some more detail on the hair. So yeah, this is pretty good! :D

There's really no such thing as too much shading so long as it falls naturally along the lines of the body. The more shading a drawing has, the darker the place they are seems to be, that's all.

I think his face is a little too smooth. And the lips should have a lot more detail on them. I agree with another comment saying that one eye is bigger than the other, it's crooked, too. But, hey, it's a lot better than what I can do.

I like the shading on the head and how the whole painting flows nicely into the black background. Makes it much more intresting :). Nice work!

You're off to a good start. I googled him to find out which picture you went off of (this picture is one of the top results, by the way) and I found this one [link]
Comparing the two, there's just something about the eyes that seems off. I think you interpreted a shadow as part of the eye on the left. If you either add shading to the face or lessen the shading on that eye, the look as a whole would improve.

First off, this is great, it's a huge improvement of your work! :)
I really like the contrast of the black and his pale skin. Also, this might sound weird but I really like how you shaded both his nose and his jaw line, very realistic looking :)
My only critique would be to add more definition to his face. It looks a little flat right now because of a lack of depth- look at a [photo and see where shadows fall on the face.
But nice work!

Never be afraid of overdoing it- and just save it as a copy so if you don't like how it turns out you can go back to the old version :)
